What We Collect
When You Run an Assessment
You paste a job description and share your background (via CV upload, LinkedIn URL, or text). This information is sent to our AI to analyze the match.
What we store: We store the job description, your profile text, and the assessment results so you can view them later. Your profile data is encrypted before storage. Assessment data is retained until you delete it.
If You Create an Account
We store your email address so you can log in and access your past assessments.
What happens to it: Your email is used only for authentication and important account updates. We don't send marketing emails unless you explicitly opt in.
Anonymous Usage Data
Basic analytics like page views and feature usage help us improve BeforeApply.
What happens to it: This data is aggregated and anonymized. We can't identify you from it. It just tells us things like "500 people used the assessment feature today."
What We Don't Do
Share with Employers
Your assessments are completely private. Companies have no way to know you evaluated their job posting or what your results were.
Sell Your Data
We don't sell, rent, or trade your personal information to anyone. Our business model is providing a useful service, not monetizing your data.
Train AI on Your Data
Your CV and personal information are not used to train our AI models. We use third-party AI providers (like OpenAI) who also don't train on API data.
You Control Your Data
Your data is retained until you choose to delete it. You can request complete deletion of your account and all associated data at any time.
How We Protect Your Data
Encryption
All data sent to and from BeforeApply is encrypted using HTTPS/TLS. Your profile data is also encrypted before being stored in our database.
Cloud Infrastructure
We use established cloud providers (Vercel for hosting, Supabase for database) that maintain security certifications and regular updates.
Limited Access
Database access is restricted to essential operations only.
